"Anyone who knows Jack "Mo Black" knows
that he can't sit still for
very long, and this also applies to performing. So in an effort to play music more often, Jack has started a side project:
"MO BLACK & BLUES"
This band features vocalist Pat Scanga from "The
Professionals" and guitarist Kirk Engel. Rounding out the line-up are Joe Frank on
bass and The Talented Mr. Siefers (Larry, that is) playing keyboards, sax and harp.
Look for "MO BLACK & BLUES" to appear on selected nights
(mostly weeknights) at venues such as "Ciao!" and "Bado's".
These will
usually be EARLY shows - 7 or 8pm start.
Although the gigs are not "official" jam sessions, if you
know what you're doing, come on down and sit in!"

"Mo Black's Magic featuring Andrea Pearl has some good news and some
bad news! The bad news first:
Our illustrious guitarist, Roger Cormier has moved to New York. As a founding member of the band he was responsible to a large degree for
our sound and he will surely be missed. Roger's musicianship, soul and sense of humor were an inspiration to all of us in the band.
Luckily for the band, Roger recommended his friend Art Boehm as a replacement - which brings us to the good news:
Art Boehm - our new guitarist!
As a colleague of Roger's, Art was a natural choice. He has a master's
degree in music from Duquesne University and teaches guitar at Lawrence Music in Castle Shannon, Pa. After learning our material in
a very short time and having only one rehearsal, Art did a gig with us at Tony G's in December and played superbly! He will start officially
on January 12 at the J-City Grill. Come out and meet the new guy!"
